European Athletics Championships IPC, Berlin 2018

Athletes with intellectual disabilities brought 7 medals and two world records to Poland, contributing to the victory of Poles in the medal classification of the European Championships in Berlin! 

Barbara Niewiedział, Karolina Kucharczyk, Ewa Durska, Sylwester Jaciuk and Daniel Pek are five medal heroes competing in Berlin in the category of “intellectual disability”. Everyone presented a very high sports level and excellent form.

Together with their trainers, they have once again proved how motivated they are and how much work they are putting in to achieve better and better results with each competitions.

 Polish medalists with intellectual disabilities of the European Athletics Championships IPC in Berlin, August 2018:

Barbara Niewiedział – gold medal in the 800 m race and a world record; and second gold medal in the 1500 m race

Karolina Kucharczyk – gold medal in long jump and a world record

Ewa Durska – silver medal in shot put

Sylwester Jaciuk – silver medal in the 800 m race

Daniel Pek – brown medal in the 800 m and 1500 m races
